Job Description
Montreal Lake Detox Inc. Finance Clerk will perform daily financial and accounting duties. These duties include but are not limited to:
Administer Payroll.
Prepare financial statements and bank reconciliations.
Record all business transactions, process accruals and adjustments, prepare monthly, quarterly, and annual accounting and financial statements.
Assist in annual audit conducted by third parties to ensure effective resolution.
Assist in the preparation of yearly budget and recording of program budgets.
Supervise financial activities, including accounts payable, accounts receivable, general accounting, financial planning and reporting.
Filing.
Perform other clerical and financial duties as assigned by Director.
Qualifications:
Must have post secondary diploma/degree in finance, accounting or related work experience.
Minimum 2-5 years of experience in finance or accounting.
Knowledge of GAAP, best practices in finance/accounting procedures, relevant tax laws, and reporting requirements to financial agencies.
Experience in working with Sage 300 premium.
Must be willing to work in Montreal Lake Cree Nation 106A.
Must be willing to sign and abide by the Montreal Lake Detox Inc. Code of Conduct, including an Oath of Confidentiality.
Must possess a strong commitment to personal wellness.
Job Type: Fixed term contract
Contract length: 1-2 months
Pay: $25.00-$30.00 per hour
Expected hours: No more than 5 per week
