About the Role



Finance Business Partner - Montreal or Toronto




The Finance Business Partner will play a key role in financial reporting, planning, analysis, and strategic decision-support across multiple business units. This role partners closely with operational and commercial teams to deliver insights that drive performance, efficiency, and long-term growth.

Key Responsibilities

Financial Reporting



Prepare and review financial statements, including month-end reporting and financial reconciliations. Ensure all financial information is accurate, consistent, and compliant with accounting principles and regulations. Participate in audit engagements and compliance requirements, including the IFRS transition.

Financial Analysis & Business Partnering



Collaborate with operational and commercial teams to translate financial insights into actionable business strategies. Support business leaders with data-driven decision-making on pricing, budgeting, investments, and cost optimization. Challenge and influence key business decisions to ensure alignment with financial objectives and long-term growth. Monitor and analyze KPIs, identifying risks and opportunities to improve business performance. Support cost-control initiatives and efficiency-improvement efforts. Provide financial input into strategic planning, operational reviews, and project assessments.

Budgeting and Forecasting



Lead budgeting, forecasting, and variance-analysis processes. Prepare and present monthly management reports covering key financial metrics, trends, and drivers.

Qualifications



Bachelor's degree in Accounting or Finance;

CPA highly preferred

. Minimum 4 years of professional experience in accounting or finance (Big 4 experience preferred). Strong knowledge of accounting principles (GAAP/IFRS). Excellent written and verbal communication skills in English.

Nice-to-Haves



Experience in M&A or integration work. Exposure to software or technology businesses. Familiarity with decentralized or multi-entity organizational structures.
