Position Overview
Seeking an enthusiastic, driven candidate to fill the
Finance and Office Administrator position
at a growing Winnipeg-based consulting firm. The Finance and Office Administrator manages company accounting and finances and handles general office administrative operations and processes. The position is collaborative but requires a self-motivated candidate who manages their time efficiently.
Duties will include:
General office bookkeeping.
Ensure the accurate and timely processing of accounts payable, accounts receivable, and banking transactions.
Ensure the accurate and timely processing of client invoices.
Conduct account analysis and reconciliation.
Support financial reporting activities by ensuring the accurate and timely preparation and analysis of monthly, quarterly and year-end financial statements and reports.
Support the preparation of annual corporate tax books and collaborate with external accountants to file corporate taxes.
Responsible for coordinating semi-monthly payroll.
Support the executive with general administrative duties focused on adding structure and productivity.
Responsible for miscellaneous office tasks and management.
Prepare communications, such as memos, emails, invoices, and other correspondence as requested.
Create and maintain filing systems, both electronic and physical.
Maintain supplies by checking stock to determine the level of inventory, anticipating needed supplies, and placing and expediting orders for supplies.
Assist with onboarding new employees.
Data entry as required.
Other duties, as assigned.
Essential Qualifications
Bachelor's degree in business administration, accounting, or finance. A combination of other training and/or equivalent experience may be considered.
2-3 years of relevant experience in full-cycle accounting/bookkeeping and administrative duties.
Knowledge of full cycle accounting.
Software savvy - the ability to learn new software platforms/systems.
Must be able to follow verbal and written instructions.
Must be able to analyze and proofread data and work independently on routine tasks.
Must have strong attention to detail.
Demonstrated organizational and multi-tasking skills.
Strong proficiency in MS Office Suite (Word, Excel, Outlook)
Desired Qualifications
Experience working with Quickbooks
Experience working with ERP systems.
Payroll Compliance Professional (PCP) designation is an asset.
Knowledge of in-house pay administration platforms or systems.
Position Details
Location: In-person at our Downtown Winnipeg office.
Hours: Full-time.
Compensation: $50,000 - $58,000 (based on education and experience).
Proposed Start Date: ASAP / Negotiable.
