Robert Half is looking for an Accounting and Payroll Lead to place with one of their clients. The position would be offered on a permanent term. Organized and self-driven accounting professionals might want to consider this Accounting and Payroll Lead role if they enjoy working under tight deadlines with minimal supervision. The Accounting and Payroll Lead will be responsible for processing the full cycle of Payroll for under 100 employees, reviewing all accounts receivable & accounts payable transactions, account reconciliation, and month-end closing. Likewise, the Accounting and Payroll Lead is reporting to the Finance Director and providing detailed accounting and administrative reports and supporting the department as a lead. In addition posting journal entries, and general ledger reconciliation. This Accounting and Payroll Lead role will be located in the Aurora, Ontario area and will be a permanent position. How you will make an impact

- You will manage and process the full cycle of payroll for under 75 employees, including all remittances, calculations, deductions, issue of ROE\'s and year end T4

- Keep a check on Accounts Payable

- Formulate monthly reconciliations, financial statements and all supporting documents

- Retain a general ledger

- Produce monthly budget reports

- Govern monthly accounting close

- Administrate Accounts Receivable

- Check monthly accounting close

- 2+ years of related experience

- Strong analytical, communication, and leadership skills

- Accounting and Payroll Lead and support to Director of Finance

- Great attention to detail

- Top notch analytical, organizational, and vendor management skills

- Deep understanding of accruals

- Journal entries experience preferred

- Accounts Payable (AP) experience highly desired

- Month end closings experience

- Demonstrated knowledge of Microsoft Excel

- General familiarity with QuickBooks

- Payroll for under 100 employees experience is a must

- Adeptness in Accounts Receivable (AR)

- Ability to work in a dynamic and changing environment

- Ability to effectively interact, verbally and in writing

- Strong organization skills

- Previous accounting experience, including as a Bookkeeper and/or Accountant preferred
