Construction/Field Surveyor

for a

full-time term position

, with the potential to transition into a permanent role for the right candidate.

This is a great opportunity for a skilled surveyor looking to gain valuable field experience on large-scale infrastructure projects while contributing to the accuracy and efficiency of project execution.

Key Responsibilities:

Operate surveying equipment to perform data collection and layout for construction projects Establish and maintain accurate project control points Complete site grade checks and quantity takeoffs for progress verification Collaborate with project managers, trades, and technologists to ensure designs align with field conditions Assist with permitting documentation and project planning coordination Manage and convert geospatial data in various formats (DWG, CSV, etc.)

Qualifications:

Proficient in operating advanced surveying equipment and software Strong understanding of surveying principles, layout, and data collection methods Familiarity with AutoCAD, Civil3D, and file conversion workflows an asset Experience working with TIN surfaces and digital terrain models is considered an asset Background in Geomatics, Surveying, or Civil Engineering Technology (completed or in progress) is an asset Previous experience in construction layout is preferred

Requirements:

Excellent written and verbal communication skills Strong technological and organizational skills Ability to manage multiple project priorities independently Comfortable working both individually and as part of a larger team Valid Class 5 driver's license and access to a reliable vehicle Physical ability to lift up to 50 lbs and work in all weather conditions
