Job Description

We are currently seeking a full-time Field Service Technician to join our Fredericton Branch. The successful applicant will be involved with in-shop and field repair work throughout New Brunswick & Prince Edward Island.

As the Field Service Technician, you will:

• Conduct pre-job hazard assessments and repairs on industrial engines, generators, and mechanical equipment.
• Perform start-up and commissioning on new equipment to ensure installations meet manufacturer specifications.
• Provide troubleshooting on all equipment and make recommendations for repairs.
• Complete scheduled maintenance on commissioned equipment.
• Submit accurate service reports and other required forms in a timely manner.
• Account for all time and materials used during work assignments.
• Participate in Manufacturer training.
• Ensure safety and compliance with applicable laws and regulations.

You will have the following knowledge, skills, and abilities:

• High school diploma or equivalent.
• Trade certification is strongly preferred. However, experience with similar equipment will be considered.
• Excellent communication and organizational skills.
• Knowledge of electrical and mechanical systems.
• Ability to interpret technical manuals, wiring schematics, and diagrams.
• Excellent problem-solving skills
• Be able to work independently with minimal supervision.
• Must have a valid driver\xe2\x80\x99s license and clean criminal record.
• Capable of lifting a minimum of 50 lbs.
• Overnight travel as required.
