The Field Service Representative/Engineer - Controls (FSR) will report directly to the Product Line Operations or Field Service Manager and will receive day-to-day direction from the service coordinators or District Manager(s). The FSR will have demonstrated extensive knowledge and skills with aeroderivative gas turbines (AGT), instrumentation, PLC\'s, and programming, along with the ability to write a technical report, and also will be expected to participate in installation commissioning, planned and unplanned service events and/or Long-Term Service Projects or any other activities that may arise. In this position you will collaborate closely with the customer representative, higher level Service engineers/reps and/or Technical Support representatives as required, and in addition will also have demonstrated a good familiarity with Siemens Energy equipment or will possess the transferable skills necessary to attend customer installations on an unsupervised basis. Assistance will be available from more senior FSR\'s and/or Technical Support representatives..

Managing and coordinating controls and commissioning activities in accordance with correct standards and procedures.
Perform \xe2\x80\x9cHands on\xe2\x80\x9d controls duties in both an individual and team setting
Maintain an accurate record of activity carried out on site - Produce written reports
Carry out and/or supervise numerous testing procedures on all installed equipment
Ensure all environmental health and safety regulations are upheld during all service activities.
Carry out troubleshooting and be able to take instruction from Helpdesk or higher technical authority as required.
What You Bring
Bachelor\'s degree in an engineering field or technical school diploma with 10 years\' experience
Direct experience in Industrial AeroDerivative Gas Turbines with Transmitters (including Hart communication protocol), Device control loops (4-20 mA, 1-5 vdc, etc. Temperature monitoring devices (RTDs and thermocouples) Speed monitoring (magnetic pickup devices), Vibration monitoring systems (Bently Nevada, Allen Bradley XM), Fire and Gas monitoring and protection systems (Det-Tronics), Network communications (Ethernet) Serial Communications (Modbus)
A working knowledge of Entronics Controls based systems including: FT-55, FT-100, FT-110
HMI working knowledge pertaining to WonderWare (InTouch) programming and Intellution (IFix) programming
Understanding of gas turbine operation, electrical generator operation and rotating gas compressor operation is necessary
Experience with Rockwell Software (Allen Bradley) based control systems including:
o RSLogix 5000
o RSNetworx for ControlNet
o RSNetworx for Devicenet
o RSLinx
Ability to travel extensively, routinely, and without restrictions to USA and abroad, with residence near a major metropolitan airport in Canada
Perform work on offshore platforms and complete offshore medical evaluation and offshore training certification
