Peninsula opened its first Canadian office in Toronto in September 2017 and has quickly become one of the fastest growing companies.Job PurposeAs a Field Sales Manager you will be responsible for the development and performance of Business Development Managers (BDM\'s) within a designated region. Driving sales performance through ongoing coaching, mentoring and monitoring of BDM\'s to increase sales revenue and maximize profitability and growth in line with company vision and values.Job OverviewWe are looking for an exceptional Sales Leader. Someone who thrives on working with Sales People to enhance their performance, taking the underperforming to average, the average to strong and the strong to outstanding. You will analyze BDM\'s figures to identify strengths, weaknesses and trends and work to develop plans and sales strategies to improve their sales performance through regular coaching, guidance and communication.Day-to-Day Duties and Responsibilities

  • Review the sales figures and pipelines of identified BDM\'s to understand their figures in detail and help to develop a sales plan to increase revenue
  • Work with the Sales Management team to identify area\'s of weakness in sales performance and put in place training and coaching to develop these areas
  • Review lead sources and ensure ALL lead sources are utilized and maximized, put in place targets and appropriate action plans against each lead source and monitor performance
  • Conduct monthly reviews and coaching sessions with identified BDM\'s, reviewing previous months activity and plans for the next month
  • Review historic month on month and quarter on quarter performance (where appropriate) to review performance and plan for improvement and growth
  • Assist BDM\'s in preparation of proposals and presentations where appropriate
  • Review BDM\'s sales pipelines ensuring they are realistic, accurate and actioned appropriately
  • Work with Head of Telemarketing and the Management Team to review appointment levels and quality ensuring a balanced view of inside and outside sales performance
  • Assist FSMs with team business plans, workshops and activity levels to achieve team sales targets
  • Hold BDMs to account on their own activity levels
  • Build sales capability, proficiency and ability within individual BDM\'s
  • Identify themes and trends across the sales figures and develop appropriate training and workshops with Head of Sales Training to remedy any issues
  • Provide regular and systematic reports, updates and insights to key stakeholders
  • Ensure that identified BDM\'s meet or exceed all activity standards for prospecting calls, appointments, presentations, proposals and closes

  • A minimum of 5 years\' experience in a sales leadership, management role
  • A track record of managing, developing and coaching field bases sales teams in a Business to Business environment
  • Analytical thinker with the ability to develop reports that identifies sales themes, trends and performance issues
  • A confident sales professional with the ability to sit appointment with BDM\'s and provide feedback and coaching to improve performance
  • A completer finisher, who establishes clear plans and goals for your team and follows up consistently and holds the team accountable for these plans
  • An exceptional communicator with the ability to review feedback from internal and external parties and provide neutral and fair viewpoint that will enhance performance drive personal accountability
  • A hard worker, who is flexible to travel and enjoys working in a sales led, fast paced, entrepreneurial culture.
