The Field Recruiter is responsible for grass roots prospecting, attracting and hiring/contracting Owner Operators for the Day & Ross Group. In this role, you will add Contracted Owner Operators and be accountable to Director, Driver Recruitment.
How You'll Help:
Achieve and exceed assigned new Owner Operator goals within your fiscal year as required by Operations.
Maintain an out-going "Hunter" personality with the desire to develop in the Recruiting field. Maintain long-term and short-term funnel of applicants.
Maintain productivity standards; focused and dedicated to uncovering and developing a high value-add applicants by conduction interviews and standard process flows.
Provide effective and innovative recruiting and sourcing solutions. Explore new opportunities in order to locate new streams of applicants; truck shows, truck stops, conferences, local connections / referrals, networking events, grass roots campaigns, civic and local events as well as coordinate and/or host job fairs.
Host Terminal Referral Blitz campaigns.
Researches, identifies establishes business relationships with recruitment sources and local communities.
Share and leverage talents, and provide information and feedback in order to improve strategies, solutions, and execution in recruiting. Researches and gains an understanding of drivers' industry, challenges and needs

Your Skills & Experience:
Completion of secondary education
Post-secondary education in Business or Office administration, an asset
A suitable combination of education and experience may be considered
A minimum of three (3) of sales or recruiting experience, within transportation industry would be an asset but not a requirement. A suitable combination of education and experience may also be considered.
2+ years' experience in telesales, sales support/customer service or business-to-business/customer sales.
Results focused with desire to exceed targets. Drive for success.
Advanced communication skills, verbal and written.
Superior time management skills, multitasking skills, and the ability to prioritize tasks with minimal supervision are essential.
Ability to work independently is imperative.
Professional, responsive, and a positive work attitude.
