About this Opportunity:
Reporting to the Senior Field Business Technician \xe2\x80\x93 Kaybob Edson, this role is designed to assist with the ongoing day to day administrative requests originating both internally and externally. This person would work independently to carry out tasks, using experience and judgement to make decisions with solid knowledge of the technical responsibilities of the department and business unit objectives.
This position is in Edson, Alberta and residing in the area is required.

Responsibilities
The Field Business Administrator is responsible for:
Performing a wide range of administrative duties in a field-based environment, dealing with critical and confidential information with limited supervision. This activity includes, but is not limited to the following:
Greeting and signing in of guests
Handling and ordering of office supplies
Reviewer and/or approver of Operations invoices
Tracking and investigating vendor spends
Hierarchy and cost center listing maintenance
Records management and file retention - "E-filing", shared drive management of Finance records
Preparing spreadsheets, presentations, and forms for operations staff
Taking minutes for meetings as required
Looking after the day-to-day tasks of our Competency Management program.
Coordinating and ordering PPE for staff
Organizing Safety training for staff
Providing courteous and professional assistance to internal and external partners.
Key communication within the department ensuring information is distributed to employees using Outlook, MS Teams, SharePoint, bulletin boards, etc. in a timely and effective manner.
Developing and maintaining relationships with other departments to effectively handle various items such as: Information Technology requests, processing invoicing/requisitions
Updating and distributing procedures, monitoring guides, org charts, handbooks, and manuals as required.
Completing / sharing duties as required to ensure team results are achieved.
Comply with all H&S requirements in the performance of this Position\'s responsibilities
Basic/Required Qualifications:
Minimum high school diploma or GED program
Demonstrated proficiency with Microsoft Word, Excel, Outlook, etc.
Excellent organizational and prioritization skills in a dynamic work environment while performing under tight deadlines
Extremely professional and confidential
Understanding of professional office procedures
Strong aptitude for detail, disciplined work ethic and the ability to take initiative as well as to accept direction
Ability to work independently in a fast-paced, varied, and diverse environment with constantly evolving priorities
Outstanding interpersonal and collaboration skills with the ability to communicate effectively
Legally authorized to work in Canada on a full-time basis without restrictions
Preferred Qualifications
An Administration or Business Diploma would be preferred.
Experience in an administrative role would be an asset, oil and gas experience would be preferred
Experience with SAP would be an asset
