For over four decades the International Children's Festival of the Arts has served as a signature cultural event for the region. This magical festival transforms downtown St. Albert into a world where the only limitation is one's imagination.




Each year the Children's Festival provides a variety of meaningful volunteer opportunities for over 350 volunteers, 12 years of age and older.




The City of St. Albert is recruiting an individual to join our Community Services department as a Festival Volunteer Coordinator by early February. Reporting to the Festival Volunteer manager, and working closely with the Volunteer Team, this position will be responsible for assisting in the development and implementation of the volunteer program in preparation for the Festival.

Qualifications



Completion of a High School Diploma plus at least one year of post-secondary education in a related field. Significant direct related experience may be considered as equivalent in lieu of post-secondary education. Experience in a multicultural work environment and expertise in facilitating inclusive volunteer programs are assets. Intermediate First Aid Certification & CPR-C Certification (must be valid prior to Festival). Strong organizational and communication skills, with experience in office administration, time management, and volunteer management systems. Skilled in volunteer coordination, event planning, and relationship building, providing user-focused customer service.

Hours of Work




20 - 40 hours per week based on operational needs, to a maximum of 550 hours.

Compensation




The wage ranges from $21.43 - $26.10 per hour based on qualifications and experience.
