The Position:

This is a full-time, permanent position based out of our Support Office and will report to the P&C Business Partner (PCBP). The Volunteer Coordinator will play a vital role in engaging the community and supporting organizational capacity. Also, ensures a meaningful and impactful volunteer experience while aligning volunteer contributions with purpose and core values of the organization.

Collaborate with the team to identify volunteer/ practicum student needs and support recruitment strategies. Manage the onboarding process, including screening and documentation, to ensure readiness for program integration. Maintain accurate volunteer records using DonorPerfect and ensure data integrity. Ensure comprehensive volunteer/ practicum experience as well as facilitate training. Support Team Leads, Supervisors, and Management with volunteer and practicum management. Perform other job-related activities as required

Qualifications

Minimum education requirement of a University or College degree in Human Resources, Nonprofit Management, Social Work, or a related discipline. Minimum 1-2 years of experience in volunteer coordination, HR, or community engagement; nonprofit sector experience preferred. Experience working with volunteer databases or CRM systems; knowledge of DonorPerfect is an asset. Strong communication and interpersonal skills with a focus on customer service. Highly organized with excellent attention to detail and record-keeping. Collaborative and responsive, with the ability to manage multiple priorities. Commitment to diversity, equity, and inclusion in volunteer engagement. Knowledge of office applications like Excel, Word, and PowerPoint Clear Police Information Check and Intervention Record Check
