We are seeking a dynamic and experienced Feed Foreman to lead and oversee daily operations at our feedlot. This role involves supervising and assisting the feed delivery and mill operations, supervising feed staff, ensuring safety compliance, and maintaining high standards of quality and efficiency. Duties
Assist in reading feed bunks
Organize feed loads and route feed trucks using AMS and COMCO computer feed programs
Oversee and assist the operation of feed mill and feed delivery equipment, ensuring proper use, maintenance and safety compliance
Monitor feed inventory levels and assist with ordering supplies to prevent shortages
Meet/communicate with nutritionist at minimum monthly regarding feed rations
Qualifications
Proven experience in a feed environment, preferably within a feedlot or livestock operation
Supervisory experience is an asset
Strong computer skills
Ability to understand drawings related to feed systems and equipment installation would be an asset
Strong attention to detail and accuracy in calculations
Excellent management skills with the ability to supervise teams effectively while maintaining high safety standards
