Tasks

Clear and collect brush and debris from fields, pens and other work areas Clear fields of wood and stones Develop and guide the behaviour of farm animals Develop specific plans to prioritize Diagnose livestock health issues Disinfect pens, barns or poultry houses Groom horses in preparation for competitions and shows Handling animals Marking livestock as proof of ownership Milk goats by hand or using machines Monitor the calving process Monitoring animal health Organize tasks to accomplish the work Perform animal grooming activities Perform livestock feeding Perform pig littering activities such as clipping needle teeth, docking tails, administering iron and other medication(s), identification of piglets, and castration Prepare a clean, dry area for cows that are calving Track and report on current feed inventory Treat livestock health issues Weaning Feed and tend animals Maintain financial and production records Operate and maintain farm machinery and equipment Carry out a pasture or pen breeding programs Ensure farm safety and bio-security procedures are followed Maintain livestock performance records Clean stables, barns, barnyards and pens Maintain work records and logs Perform general farm duties Handle and care for livestock
