The Nurse practitioner would be working with Dr Tosin Tifase and the hours would be variable schedule and some weekends

Duties

Conduct thorough patient assessments, including physical examinations, vital signs, and medical history reviews to establish accurate diagnoses. Manage a broad spectrum of health conditions through evidence-based treatment plans, including acute pain management, chronic disease care, and preventive health services. Administer injections, perform PAP tests, dermal fillers, botulinum toxin treatments, and perform suturing with precision to ensure optimal patient outcomes. Utilize EMR (Electronic Medical Record) systems such as Oscar and work with the team to optimize billing Coordinate diagnostic evaluations using laboratory testing, medical imaging, and specimen processing to support clinical decision-making. Provide telehealth consultations to expand access to care and deliver timely advice for patients in remote or underserved areas. Engage in case management activities including discharge planning, utilization review, and working with patients in assisted living or nursing home environments. Educate patients on health coaching topics such as nutrition, diabetes management, family planning, medication administration, and infection control practices. Assist with clinical research initiatives and contribute to quality improvement projects that enhance patient safety and care standards.

Experience

Proven experience as a Family Nurse Practitioner or in similar primary care roles with a strong foundation in internal medicine and pediatrics. Hands-on experience with EMR/EHR systems such as Oscar is essential for efficient documentation and patient management. Demonstrated proficiency in performing procedures including suturing, catheterization, phlebotomy, sterile processing techniques, and IV insertions. Experience administering Botox or dermal fillers for aesthetic treatments is a plus but not required; however, knowledge of esthetic laser treatments is beneficial. Strong understanding of Workers' Compensation law and occupational health protocols enhances your ability to serve diverse patient populations effectively. Ability to work independently while collaborating within multidisciplinary teams; excellent communication skills are essential for triage and patient education roles.
