We are actively seeking a FACILITY MAINTENANCE & MECHANICAL ENGINEERING MANAGER, to join our team as we continue to expand our reach and services.
The manager is responsible for ensuring that all mechanical, electrical and general building maintenance services of the facility are in good operating condition at all times. The Manager will oversee the facility maintenance operations as well as the mechanical engineering team.Main Responsibilities:Coordinate oversea and manage internal modification/expansion, renovation and maintenance projects;
Coordinate with the maintenance and construction subcontractors when needed;
Work with local authorities to obtain required permits;
Supervise and coordinate the day-to-day operation of his team (Carpenters, stationary engineers, electronic engineer and the General building repair team);
Assures that all mechanical, electrical and ventilation equipment are routinely monitored and repairs are effectuated by competent personnel when required;
Reduce downtime and ensure that Maintenance work is achieved on a timely and cost-efficient basis;
Ensure that all safety and maintenance logs are recorded and updated on a daily basis for all site equipment;
Formulates and implements building preventive maintenance program and updates it as necessary in accordance with company needs and cost efficiency;
Ensures that electronic equipment and control systems are maintained within validated operating conditions and that building alarm system is functional;
Reacts promptly to emergency calls and ensures that appropriate corrective action is taken;
Responds adequately to unforeseen situations and ensures deviations are promptly communicated to project directors, management and relevant personnel;
Keeps meticulous and reliable facility records in accordance with ITR's SOPs and GLP;
Maintains training records of reporting staff;
Writes reviews and updates Standard Operating Procedures as necessary;
Responsible to supervise and coordinate contractors and service providers;
Have the necessary computer skills to operate the integrated environmental monitoring and control system (EBI) and efficiently carry out and complete tasks that require such skills;Requirements:4B Stationary Engines Mechanic certification with a minimum of 10 years work experience.
Good knowledge of municipal laws and regulations related to the job;
Excellent organizational skills with a high degree of initiative and flexibility;
Strong analytical and problem-solving skills;
Excellent planning and leadership abilities;
Experienced in managing a team of staff;
Strong interpersonal and teamwork skills;
Knowledge of Microsoft Office;
Experience in the pharmaceutical/Biotechnology industry is an asset ;
Knowledge of Good Laboratory Practices (GLP) is an asset.This position offers:
