Job Summary

We are currently seeking a dependable and detail-oriented Facility Cleaner to join our team at Sobeys Atlantic Tennis Centre, a busy and well-maintained tennis facility. The ideal candidate will be responsible for maintaining cleanliness and orderliness, ensuring a safe and welcoming environment for all occupants. This part-time position offers between 12 and 20 hours per week depending on event activity.

Duties

Perform routine cleaning tasks including sweeping, mopping, dusting, and sanitizing surfaces. Maintain cleanliness in common areas, restrooms, and offices to ensure a hygienic environment. Handle waste disposal and recycling according to established procedures. Utilize cleaning equipment and supplies safely and efficiently. Follow all health and safety regulations while performing cleaning duties.

Requirements

Previous experience in commercial cleaning is preferred but not required. Strong attention to detail with a commitment to maintaining high cleanliness standards. Ability to work independently as well as part of a team. Good time management skills with the ability to prioritize tasks effectively. Physical stamina to perform cleaning tasks that may require standing, bending, or lifting for extended periods. Excellent communication skills to interact with staff and management effectively.
