Caxton Mark Inc., a leading manufacturer of premium pressure-sensitive labels, has a vacancy for a Press Wash-Up & Facility Cleaner . The Press Wash-Up & Facility Cleaner is responsible for supporting the Print Team through cleaning of ink trays, printing plates, and rollers, general facility cleaning, and assisting in ink handling tasks. This includes weighing returned ink, labelling, and organizing ink in the storage area. The role helps maintain press-room cleanliness and supports compliance with safety and quality standards, including GMP and SQF requirements.

The ideal candidate will be a very organized and detail-oriented individual, very dependable with a desire to take control of their department.

KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS & ABILITIES

Ability to effectively and comfortably communicate with co-workers. Follow all safety rules, wear required PPE, and comply with plant sanitation standards. Attention to detail. Be comfortable on your feet for the duration of your shift. Be able to lift up to 50lbs. Clean and wash used ink trays, rollers, printing plates and related press components using approved cleaning methods. Calculate ink usage Keep work area and sink clean at all times. Assist Staging Department with organization and required daily tasks. Follow chemical handling and disposal procedures safely and accurately. Restock cleaning supplies and notify supervisor of any shortages or issues. Support SQF, GMP, and food safety protocols where applicable. Other duties as assigned.

KEY PERFORMANCE INDICATORS

Consistently showing up for work on time and putting in extra time when required. Hitting and maintaining mutually agreed upon daily, weekly, and monthly production metrics. Maintain a facility that we are proud to showcase to clients. Be willing to help in any area at any time to help the job get done!

PHYSICAL DEMANDS & WORK CONDITIONS

The essential functions of this job require the employee to perform the following physical activities during the course of work:

Standing while performing job duties (typically for 8-hours or more per day) Walking, stooping, bending, kneeling, lifting, and reaching Use of various material handling equipment - lift truck, hand jacks, etc. Vision (Near, Distance, Peripheral, Depth Perception, Colour vision acuity) Lifting requirements for this position: 50-60 lbs. Ability to work in a fast-paced, demanding work environment
