We are seeking a motivated individual to join our dynamic, diverse team in the role of Facilities Manager for our Scoudouc, NB Location.

This position will be a full-time salaried position, Monday to Friday. The primary responsibilities of this position include cultivating strong relationships and providing guidance and support to our maintenance and management team, providing oversight and ensuring a safe, dependable and properly maintained facility. This Role will report to the Vice President of Operations

Daily Duties

• Oversee maintenance schedules and compliance, with adherence to Provincial, Federal, contractual and company policies.
• Monitor performance and make alterations as required.
• Assist in analyzing maintenance cost factors.
• Assist in staffing and hiring decisions, as well as ensuring development and training of maintenance personnel. Provides input on performance of various facility maintenance staff.
• Provides front-line support, supervision and direction to a large workforce and creatively resolving issues/problems to ensure that all shop staff/technicians are competently trained and conversant with corporate policies, practices and processes related to safety in the workplace.
• Supervise, assist & train employees in maintenance systems, as required.
• Monitor inventory levels and organization, ensuring efficient and effective parts levels.
• Monitor/ensure warrantable items are submitted for processing.
• Provides periodic environmental and facility audits to ensure a safe environment and provides recommendations for corrective action.
• Provide good employee relations to ensure effective communication and encouraging participation

Requirements

• Four year college degree ( Millwright/Electrical) or eight to ten years related experience and/or training; or equivalent combination of education and experience
• Knowledge of mechanical and electrical operations
• Strong ability to use power and hand tools
• Supply chain management skills
• Ability to work with mathematical concepts such as probability and statistical inference. Ability to apply concepts such as fractions, percentages, ratios and proportions to practical situations.
• Must understand technical and mechanical language.
• The physical demands described here are representative of those that must be met by an employee to successfully perform the essential functions of this job.
• Exert up to 20 lbs. of force occasionally, and/or up to 10 lbs. of force frequently, and/or a negligible amount of force constantly to lift, carry, push, pull, or otherwise move objects, including the human body. Involves sitting most of the time, but may involve walking or standing for brief periods of time.

Benefits: Health Benefits/ Pension (Employer matches up to 5%) available after 3 months

Compensation : $90,000-$100,000 Depending on skillset on experience
