The PDG Pediatric Dental Group (PDG) is a multi-location dental group, and specializes in Pediatric dentistry and Orthodontics for children, adolescents, and adults in our Vancouver, Delta/Surrey, Richmond, and Coquitlam offices, as well as providing treatment under general anesthesia at the Cambie Surgery Centre (CSC) and Anesthesia for Dentistry (AFD)

Summary

We are currently looking for a skilled and reliable Facilities Maintenance Person with handy-person skills to be part of our growing team. You will be responsible for performing a wide range of preventative tasks to ensure our 4 offices are in excellent condition. The ideal person should be a proactive problem solver with a strong work ethic and attention to detail, ensuring work is completed in a timely manner.

Job Requirements and Qualifications:

Must have 1-2 years of wall repair/painting experience Valid BC driver's license and own vehicle Must have own tools Able to complete tasks in a timely manner Attention to detail Able to work independently as well as in a team environment Be Punctual Be Proactive Have Strong communication skills Must be familiar with Microsoft Office Having basic knowledge of plumbing fixtures and electrical is an asset Must be able to work flexible hours Be able to maintain inventory of supplies (bulbs, filters, etc) Need to be able to lift up to 50 lbs Able to be comfortable working on a ladder High school diploma or equivalent

Responsibilities

:

Travel to the various offices to identify and assess areas of concern for repair Perform a variety of repairs and improvements in a timely manner Work outside of operational hours when work is required in the clinic Maintain a digital and online logbook with tasks starting, in progress, and completed Willing to advance knowledge and training and receive mentorship from the maintenance technician Meet regularly with the Facilities Manager and Maintenance Technician

Other duties may include

:

Drywall repairs and paint Caulking where required Tile Repairs Flooring Repairs Basic plumbing and electrical repairs Communicating with trades and vendors Picking up supplies for repairs
