The City of Prince Albert is looking for an Facilities Maintenance Coordinator, who will be responsible to plan, coordinate, direct and supervise the operation, repair, servicing and replacement of facilities operated by the City. The Facilities Maintenance Coordinator provides leadership and supervision to the Maintenance Division.

Principle Duties & Responsibilities:

  • Develop and maintain preventative maintenance programs.
  • Schedule, manage and ensure completion of preventative and emergency maintenance work orders and construction projects at City facilities.
  • Interact and consult with building occupants and user groups.
  • Supervise, schedule and manage the performance of employees carrying out maintenance activities in City facilities.
  • Compile procedures and training manuals regarding the operation of various aspects of City facilities.
  • Develop and recommend budget requirements for scheduled maintenance, capital improvements and operation of systems within City facilities.
  • Prepare tenders.
  • Investigate and report on various facilities issues forwarded through City Council and public inquiries.
  • Focuses efforts on achieving quality results consistent with the expressed needs of the City of Prince Albert.
  • Looks for ways to improve performance and effectively utilize resources.
Management of People

Required Qualifications:
  • Fireman and Refrigeration Operator certificates
  • Journeyman Electrician with four years or more experience with HVAC controls and building mechanical systems; and/or
  • Journeyman Refrigeration Tech and HVAC Tech with four years or more experience in the heating or refrigeration trades; or
  • A combination of experience and certification satisfactory to the employer.
