Position Summary

Facilities & Custodial Attendant

Azhadi Vineyards is seeking a reliable and detail-oriented

Facilities & Custodial Attendant

to support the cleanliness, presentation, and overall upkeep of our winery facility. This role is responsible for maintaining high standards of sanitation across a large, multi-level building that includes public spaces, washrooms, glass features, offices, and back-of-house areas. The ideal candidate takes pride in maintaining beautiful spaces and understands the importance of cleanliness in a luxury hospitality environment.

Key ResponsibilitiesFacility Cleaning & Presentation

Clean and maintain all public and staff areas, including tasting rooms, corridors, stairwells, offices, staff rooms, and storage areas. Perform regular and detailed cleaning of

washrooms

, including restocking supplies and ensuring hygiene standards are consistently met. Clean and maintain

large floor areas

using appropriate equipment (vacuum, mop, floor scrubber as applicable). Clean interior

glass surfaces

, doors, windows, railings, and architectural features to presentation standards. Maintain cleanliness in back-of-house areas, including loading dock, waste areas, and service corridors.

Waste & Supply Management

Manage daily garbage, recycling, and compost removal throughout the facility. Ensure waste and recycling areas remain clean, organized, and compliant with local requirements. Monitor custodial supplies and cleaning products; notify Facilities Manager when reordering is required.

Health, Safety & Standards

Follow all workplace safety, sanitation, and WHMIS guidelines. Use cleaning chemicals and equipment safely and correctly. Report maintenance issues, safety concerns, or facility damage to the Facilities Manager promptly. Support periodic deep-cleaning projects and seasonal facility preparation.

Qualifications

Previous custodial, janitorial, or facilities cleaning experience preferred (commercial or hospitality environments an asset). Strong attention to detail and pride in maintaining clean, well-presented spaces. Ability to work independently and manage time effectively across a large facility. Physically able to lift, carry, push, pull, and move objects up to 25 lbs. Comfortable working with cleaning equipment and chemicals. Flexible availability, including evenings, weekends, and holidays.

Compensation

The typical hiring range for this position is $20 to $23 per hour, the hourly rate offered is based on market location and may vary depending on job-related knowledge, skills, experiences, and internal equity.
