Facilities Coordinator

As a Facilities Coordinator, your main responsibilities are:

Facilities coordinator is responsible for fixing and repairing of things both indoor and outdoor in the facility to make them look good. Should be very good with their hands. Responsibilities revolve around general maintenance, orderliness, and cleanliness in the organization to ensure that facilities and equipment in the organization are in good shape at all times for human utilization.

  • Perform routine maintenance within the laboratory (e.g. changing light bulbs, cleaning filters, replacing motors and belts).
  • Ensure any safety related maintenance items are addressed promptly.
  • Build and/or install special apparatus that may be required within the laboratory (e.g. shelving, eyewash stations and fire extinguishers).
  • Perform minor repairs and modifications (e.g. partitions, walls, flooring, bench tops, cabinets, ducting, fume hoods, refrigerators, freezers, chillers, plumbing and electrical systems).
  • Liaison with the Landlord and contractors who have responsibility for maintenance of laboratory and building equipment (e.g. HVAC, make-up air unit, plumbing, electrical).
  • Inform management on office equipment that need to be replaced, and ordering for new ones as directed by the management.
  • Ensure that trash and garbage waste are constantly taken out and recycled by cleaning contractor.
  • Maintain the records of expenses made on the repair and purchase of office equipment, and presenting them upon request by management.
  • Provide training to assistants in the organization by imparting his/her skills and expertise on them, as well as overseeing their progress on the job.
  • Adheres to Bureau Veritas Code of Ethics Policy.
  • Supports and complies with all Bureau Veritas policies, Quality System and Health & Safety program.
  • All other responsibilities as assigned.
You are the ideal Facilities Coordinator, if you have:
  • Technical Diploma with 5 Years General Maintenance experience
  • Basic carpentry, plumbing, electrical and mechanical expertise/skills.
  • Eager to learn and have the ability to thrive in a fast-paced environment, while maintaining attention to detail.
  • Knowledgeable of some HVAC
  • Valid driver\'s license
  • Ability to be On call
  • Ability to prioritize tasks and good problem solving skill.
  • A Dynamic, energetic, motivated, positive outlook and a "can-do" attitude.
  • Excellent computer skills.
