Join Our Team!We\'re looking for a Facilities Coordinator to support our Facilities team at our Bonnie Doon location/2nd floor in Edmonton. Reporting to the Facilities Manager. You are the expert in the overall operation and maintenance requirements needed to ensure our properties and facilities are functioning within our Servus standards. You are critical to our day to day operation, reflect a positive image, and are an energetic force who works independently behind the scenes with our maintenance technicians, fellow facilities coordinator and leaders. More specifically, the scope of your responsibilities will include but are not limited to:
Maintain, coordinate, and implement all work required within targeted timeframes. This includes facility equipment, land, buildings, building systems, furniture, exterior signage, interior/exterior lighting, HVAC systems, Fire Safety systems, elevators and all applicable facility equipment that require regular service.
Assist the Facility Manager with: project work, documenting/reporting activities and major issues, annual capital and operating budget, as well as work within current policies and procedures, and inspections required to confirm OH&S standards are met.
Work closely and communicate with our Corporate Services Support area, vendors, contractors, and all internal staff/stakeholders of Servus.
Supervise and approve work of on-site suppliers and vendors, authorize and/or approve invoice payments in a timely manner with signing authority limit and escalate above scope to other authorities.
Respond immediately to emergency situations (fire, flood, evacuation, major equipment failure etc) and other Servus concerns and assist as required.
Requirements To qualify, you\'ll need at least the following:
5 -7 years facility management experience, equivalent trade or required expertise.
Have an understanding of environmental health and safety legislation, and the design, operation and maintenance of building systems.
Experience with Microsoft Office suite.
Experience with mobile apps
Experience supervising and approving the work of others.
Working with external vendors
Dealing with emergency situations
Must be able to work independently with very little supervision, be a self-starter, be able to make quick decisions and problem solve situations.
Licenses/Certificates:
First aid certificate
WHMIS (Workplace Hazards Management Information System) certificate
Valid driver\'s license
Although not required, the following experience and education/certifications are valuable assets:
BOMI certifications or designations are preferred
Project Management training preferred
