Who Are You?

Reporting to the Shop Foreman, the Welder applies their experience and passion for precision manufacturing to take projects from blueprint to reality.

What you will do:

Read and interpret blueprints Plan the sequence of tasks and assemble parts according to drawings Fabricate steel weldments and use measuring instruments Assemble and fit metal sections and plates together to form complete units or sub-units Fasten components together (by tack weld) in preparation for a welder to complete the process Ensure product quality Operates and uses various other tools and hand grinders Maintain a clean, orderly and safe work environment at all times Ensures workmanship throughout the manufacturing process and on finished goods meets or exceeds the cost, quality and schedule expectations of all customers. Active participation in WBM Safety Program, ensuring that workplace safety exists at all times Other duties as required

A minimum of 3 years related experience Experience machining steel Demonstrated proficiency in programming at the machine Demonstrated knowledge of Fanuc controllers Proficient in the use of all tools common to the machine shop environment Experience using CAD/CAM software is an asset, specifically Mastercam Red Seal Ticket is an asset

Due to safety considerations and the physically demanding nature of the role, successful candidates will undergo a pre-employment medical evaluation upon hiring. Passing the Level 1 fitness test on your first attempt is a bona fide occupational requirement (BFOR).
