Job Posting: Foreman at Mega Rebar

Mega Rebar, a rebar fabricator and distributor situated in Maple Ridge, BC, is actively seeking a motivated and safety-conscious individual to join our team as a Foreman. This is a permanent, full-time opportunity that offers competitive compensation and benefits. Our brand-new facility is equipped with top-of-the-line equipment.

Core Duties:

Supervise and coordinate daily site activities, ensuring work is completed safely, on time and to company standards Lead and motivate employees to maintain productivity and efficiency Communicate effectively with team members about daily tasks, schedules, safety, etc. Ensure compliance with safety regulations and company policies Read and interpret blueprints, drawings and project specifications - Ensuring proper handling, cutting, and bending of rebar is in compliance with the information provided. Track and maintain detailed records of site activities, labour hours and material usage Conduct daily quality control checks Review and approve timesheets and ensure accuracy of daily reports Lead and organize toolbox talks and daily huddles

Work Conditions:

Work in a covered environment The daily use of personal protective equipment, including safety glasses, steel-toe work boots, gloves, helmets, and hearing protection, will be required. Highly repetitive tasks. Heavy lifting required. Overtime hours may be required to meet operational demands. Must be flexible to work early mornings and late evenings. Must be familiar with and adhere to shop safety policies and procedures.

Minimum Qualifications and Education Requirements:

Minimum 3-5 years experience in a supervisory position within the rebar industry Hands on experience with overhead crane, shearline and bender in a fabrication setting Ability to read and interpret technical documents and drawings Excellent communication and organizational skills Ability to lift, bend, twist and maneuver without physical restrictions.

Assets:

Machine maintenance knowledge - Shearline, Barwiser, RMS Bender, Coil, etc.

Experience:

Rebar Fabrication: 3-5 years.
