JOB SUMMARY

The successful candidate is responsible for:

Efficient operation of the extruder machines to ensure quality products are produced to Company's specifications. Machine start up, shut down, adjustments, troubleshooting problems, and minor repairs.

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES

Ensuring quality of products meet Company's specifications Monitoring operation of extruding machines and winding/unwinding equipment Inspecting quality of material produced Change dies on extruding machines Setting up extruding machines, die changes, troubleshooting, and making minor adjustments to equipment Performing other duties as assigned

REQUIREMENTS, SKILLS & QUALIFICATIONS

Minimum 5 years of extrusion experience is required Knowledge of plastics and previous experience working in a plastics environment is required Knowledge of roll winding/unwinding equipment is considered an asset Successful candidates will possess good mechanical and/or technical ability Critical thinking and problem solving Knowledge of general labour duties Physically able to lift at least 50 lbs Ability to read, write, understand and communicate effectively in English
Starting wage: $20 to $25 Shift premiums + bonus.

Benefits: 9 month waiting period.

Hours of work: 8-hour rotational shifts. Overtime.
