External Sales Manager
to lead in-field sales efforts and help expand our market presence.
Position Overview
The External Sales Manager will be responsible for generating revenue through
in-person estimates
,
managing and motivating a door-to-door sales team
, and
developing external marketing strategies
to drive consistent lead flow. This is a hands-on, field-based leadership role ideal for someone who thrives outside the office and enjoys building systems, people, and results.
Key ResponsibilitiesSales & Estimating
Conduct in-person estimates for residential and commercial window cleaning services
Accurately assess job scope, pricing, and service requirements
Close sales and meet or exceed monthly revenue targets
Build strong relationships with homeowners, property managers, and business owners
Door-to-Door Sales Team Management
Recruit, train, and manage a door-to-door sales team
Set daily/weekly targets and monitor performance
Provide ongoing coaching, ride-alongs, and performance feedback
Develop scripts, objection handling, and conversion strategies
Ensure professionalism, compliance, and brand representation in the field
External Marketing & Growth
Create and execute external marketing plans (door hangers, flyers, signage, local partnerships, canvassing strategies, events)
Identify new neighbourhoods, routes, and opportunities for expansion
Track and report on lead sources, conversion rates, and ROI
Collaborate with internal operations and marketing teams to align sales efforts
Reporting & Administration
Maintain accurate CRM records for leads, estimates, and sales
Prepare weekly performance reports and forecasts
Provide insights and recommendations to improve sales processes
Qualifications & Skills
Proven experience in
external sales
, preferably in home services (window cleaning, pressure washing, landscaping, roofing, etc.)
Experience managing or leading a sales team
Strong communication, negotiation, and closing skills
Self-motivated, goal-oriented, and comfortable working in the field
Ability to plan routes, manage time effectively, and work independently
Valid driver's license and reliable vehicle
Comfortable working outdoors and walking neighbourhoods
