Lilly's Corporate Affairs team is responsible for all external Company interactions, these include the media, government, patient organizations/advocates, and community stakeholders. The External Engagement Manager will work cross-functionally with the brand teams (marketed and pipeline) for their assigned therapeutic area to provide strategic counsel and direction on brand and awareness-based initiatives. The External Engagement Manager has a mix of responsibilities internally and with external stakeholders on both product-related, disease state and policy-focused work. In addition, the External Engagement Manager will plan, develop and implement all external communication strategies related to therapeutic area activities, and corporate relations. In this role, partnership will be a central focus, whether internally or with other external audiences, the EEM will lead and cultivate relationships and opportunities to help more Canadian patients while achieving business objectives.
External engagement is a broad term that refers to our engagement with all external stakeholders in relation to disease state areas or new class of medications/solutions. It involves making meaningful connections among all external stakeholders (media, patients, healthcare professionals, patient organizations and professional associations) to advance Lilly's mission to help more Canadian patients.
