Job Posting - Traffic Control Person (TCP)

Wage Range:

$18?-?$22/hour (dependent on experience)

Projects between Hope, BC and Downtown Vancouver

Position Overview

We are seeking reliable and safety?focused Traffic Control Persons to support civil construction and utility projects. This role involves managing traffic flow around active work zones to ensure the safety of workers, motorists, and the public.

Requirements

Minimum 2 years of experience

as a certified TCP in construction or related field

Valid BC Traffic Control Person (TCP) certification

(current and in good standing) Willing and able to work

any shift

, including days, nights, weekends, and on?call assignments Ability to

communicate effectively in English

-- both spoken and written -- to ensure safe direction of traffic and coordination with crew members Valid BC driver's licence and

reliable transportation

to commute between job sites Willing to travel between

Hope, BC and Downtown Vancouver

as work requires

Compensation & Benefits

$18?-?$22/hour based on experience Extended health and dental benefits after 3?month probationary period Training and PPE provided as required

Key Responsibilities

Set up, maintain, and remove traffic control zones in accordance with BC Ministry of Transportation and WorkSafeBC regulations Direct vehicle and pedestrian traffic safely and efficiently Communicate with other TCPs, site supervisors, and equipment operators to coordinate traffic movement Monitor worksite safety conditions and report hazards immediately

Experience

Previous experience in traffic control or a related field is preferred. Familiarity with heavy equipment operation is a plus. Experience in paving or construction environments will be beneficial. Strong communication skills and the ability to work as part of a team are essential. Must be able to demonstrate a commitment to safety practices on the job site. Pay: $17.85-$23.00 per hour

Expected hours: 30 - 50 per week
