Job Summary:
The
Spray Foam Insulation Installer
will be responsible for applying spray foam and other types of insulation in compliance with building codes, industry standards, and safety regulations. This role requires certification, in-depth knowledge of insulation techniques, and proven hands-on experience.
Key Responsibilities:
Certifications & Knowledge:
Hold a valid
Caliber certification
(copy of license required at the time of hire).
Demonstrate knowledge of various insulation materials, application techniques, and current industry best practices.
Code & Regulation Adherence:
Follow all applicable building codes, including the Ontario Building Code (OBC) and local municipal codes.
Apply spray foam insulation according to the
Canadian Urethane Foam Contractors Association (CUFCA)
standards.
Safety Compliance:
Comply with all workplace safety laws, including Ontario's Occupational Health and Safety Act (OHSA).
Follow company safety guidelines and protocols at all times.
Wear appropriate personal protective equipment (PPE) and ensure safe handling of equipment.
Work Area Preparation:
Prepare and set up work areas for insulation installation.
Maintain spray foam equipment, ensuring it is in proper working condition.
Application of Insulation:
Apply spray foam insulation to walls, ceilings, attics, and other required areas with precision.
Install additional insulation types (batt, blown-in, blanket) where required.
Ensure proper coverage, even application, and code-compliant installation.
Quality Assurance:
Ensure all work meets or exceeds client and company standards.
Perform visual inspections to confirm insulation is installed effectively without gaps or seams.
Complete daily work record sheets and related test reports after each project.
Communication & Customer Service:
Communicate effectively with clients, addressing questions and providing guidance as needed.
Collaborate with project managers and other team members to ensure smooth workflow.
Maintenance & Cleanup:
Clean and store tools and equipment properly.
Maintain a tidy worksite and dispose of materials safely in accordance with company policy.
Report low or missing supplies promptly to avoid project delays.
Vehicle Inspection & Compliance:
Conduct pre-trip inspections of company vehicles to ensure safe operation.
Follow
Commercial Vehicle Operator's Registration (CVOR)
standards and maintain up-to-date documents in the vehicle.
Record and report any issues, defects, or required maintenance immediately.
Assume responsibility for any damages caused to company vehicles due to negligence.
Requirements:
4+ years of hands-on experience
with spray foam insulation (required).
Valid Caliber certification (required).
Strong knowledge of insulation installation techniques and building codes.
Physically capable of handling materials and working in various conditions.
Reliable, punctual, and professional work ethic.
Valid driver's license (preferred).
Work Location:
In person at job sites across the GTA and surrounding areas.
