Experienced Psychotherapist – Ketamine Assisted Psychotherapy

Job Description

We are a multidisciplinary team of physicians and therapists offering in-person,

Ketamine-Assisted Psychotherapy (KAP).

We're seeking a

Registered Clinical Counsellor or a Registered Psychotherapist

with

10+ years of clinical experience

in counselling and psychotherapy, and

advanced training

in modalities such as

IFS, ACT, SE, EMDR, or breathwork

.The ideal candidate brings extensive clinical experience, is

trauma-informed, and has an ethically

grounded approach in supporting clients through non-ordinary states of consciousness. Prior professional and personal experience with psychedelic-assisted therapy, psychedelic integration work, or non-ordinary states is highly valued.This is a

contract-based, flexible-hours position (2-3 days per week)

ideal for clinicians interested in innovative, relational, and medically supported care working mainly with patients struggling with treatment-resistant depression, trauma and PTSD. You will work closely with psychiatrists, psychotherapists, and nursing staff in delivering transformative care in safe, personalized settings.

Requirements:



Master Level Counsellor with a Current Registration in BC, RCC, C.C.C, or RP Minimum 10+ years of clinical experience working with depression, trauma, and substance use. Previous KAP/psychedelic therapy experience is an asset. Possesses a well-developed self-reflective capacity, with an ability to recognize personal biases and regulate countertransference, while maintaining firm professional boundaries and exercising consistently sound ethical judgment. This position strongly favours candidates with relevant training or a clear dedication to ongoing professional development in the ketamine assisted therapy and psychedelic field. We are seeking clinicians who bring a trauma-informed, relational approach to therapy. Preference will be given to those with demonstrated experience supporting clients through attachment-based, somatic, or integrative modalities. Demonstrated ability to co-regulate and hold therapeutic space during non-ordinary states, including dissociative or psychedelic experiences.

Advanced clinical training and certifications in one of:

ideally in Somatic Experiencing (SE), Acceptance and Commitment Therapy (ACT), Internal Family Systems (IFS), Sensorimotor Training, or Psychodynamic Psychotherapy. Comfort working on

interdisciplinary teams

(with physicians, nurses, and support staff) Commitment to

ongoing supervision

and

personal development
