We are seeking a dedicated and experienced Fry Cook to join our culinary team. The ideal candidate will be responsible for preparing and cooking fried menu items in a fast-paced restaurant environment. This role requires a strong focus on food safety, quality, and efficiency to ensure an exceptional dining experience for our guests. Previous restaurant or kitchen experience is preferred, especially within the food industry, and familiarity with food handling and meal preparation standards is essential. The Fry Cook will play a vital role in maintaining the restaurant's reputation for delicious, high-quality fried dishes.
Duties
Prepare and cook a variety of fried foods according to recipes and quality standards
Ensure all food is cooked to the proper temperature and presentation standards
Maintain cleanliness and organization of the fry station and kitchen area
Follow food safety guidelines and proper food handling procedures at all times
Assist in food preparation tasks such as chopping, seasoning, and assembling ingredients
Serve food promptly to ensure quick service during busy hours
Monitor inventory levels of ingredients and notify management when supplies are low
Adhere to all health and safety regulations to maintain a safe working environment
Skills
Proven experience in food preparation, cooking, or food service roles, preferably within a restaurant or food industry setting
Strong knowledge of food safety standards and proper food handling techniques
Ability to operate kitchen equipment safely and efficiently
Excellent serving skills with a focus on customer satisfaction
Ability to work quickly under pressure while maintaining attention to detail
Good communication skills and ability to work as part of a team
Knowledge of meal preparation processes and kitchen operations is highly desirable
