Job Overview


We are seeking a skilled Drywall Finisher to join our construction team. The ideal candidate will be responsible for finishing drywall surfaces to achieve a smooth, professional appearance, ensuring quality craftsmanship on residential and commercial projects. This role requires attention to detail, familiarity with various finishing techniques, and the ability to work efficiently in a fast-paced construction environment. Experience with related trades such as plastering, carpentry, and water damage restoration is highly valued. The Drywall Finisher plays a crucial part in delivering high-quality results that meet project specifications and client expectations.

Responsibilities



Apply joint compound and tape to drywall seams, corners, and joints for a seamless finish Sand and smooth surfaces to prepare for painting or further finishing work Install drywall sheets on walls and ceilings, ensuring proper alignment and secure fastening Repair damaged drywall or patches as needed to maintain surface integrity Read blueprints, schematics, and construction plans to accurately execute finishing tasks Coordinate with other trades such as carpentry, plumbing, and masonry to ensure smooth workflow Utilize tools such as trowels, sanders, knives, and sprayers effectively Maintain a clean work area and adhere to safety protocols on the construction site Assist with additional tasks like caulking, trim carpentry, stucco application, or fixture installation when required

Experience



Proven experience in drywall finishing or related construction trades such as plastering or carpentry Knowledge of construction estimating, blueprint reading, and schematics is preferred Familiarity with the restoration industry including mold remediation and water damage restoration is a plus Hands-on experience with metal stud framing, door hanging, flooring installation, tile laying, or airless paint spraying is advantageous Prior work on construction sites demonstrating safety awareness and teamwork skills Maintenance Person experience or background in remodeling projects can be beneficial

Job Type: Full-time

Pay: $20.00-$35.00 per hour

Expected hours: 40 - 60 per week
