Position Overview

We are looking for an experienced Drywall Finisher & Painter to support our construction team on a short-term contract. The successful candidate will have hands-on experience in drywall finishing and professional painting, with a strong focus on accuracy, efficiency, and quality craftsmanship. This role involves working alongside other skilled trades to complete residential and/or commercial renovation projects to a high standard.

Key Responsibilities

Tape, mud, and finish drywall joints to achieve smooth, seamless surfaces Sand and prepare walls and ceilings for final finishes Install drywall sheets, trims, and corner beads according to project requirements Complete all stages of interior and exterior painting, including priming, brushing, rolling, and spraying Prepare surfaces by caulking, patching, sanding, masking, and cleaning Mix and match paint colors and finishes as needed Review blueprints, drawings, or work orders to understand project scope and schedules Coordinate with other trades to ensure timely project completion Maintain tools, equipment, and materials in proper working condition Follow site safety guidelines and keep work areas clean and organized

Skills & Qualifications

Strong knowledge of drywall finishing methods, including taping, mudding, sanding, and texturing Experience with professional painting techniques on various surfaces, including walls, ceilings, trim, and exteriors Excellent surface preparation skills such as filling, caulking, and masking Ability to read and interpret blueprints and job instructions Comfortable using professional painting equipment, including sprayers, rollers, and brushes Detail-oriented with a commitment to high-quality workmanship Able to work independently or collaboratively in a team environment Reliable, punctual, and deadline-focused
