Immigration Lawyer/Manager

Our client is seeking an experienced Immigration Lawyer to manage the legal immigration team. Does this sound like you? You enjoy building relationships with clients and team members and can analyze the facts to identify issues to determine the required strategy for each case.

Your day-to-day will look like this:

• Be a mentor and coach to the Lawyers and Analysts, delegate to the team
• Manage the performance and training of team members, support the recruitment
• Conduct research to support client requests and projects
• Partner with colleagues to resolve client issues, share information and support client projects
• Be a subject- matter expert for your client base and the industries that you support
• Have ongoing communication with clients and foreign nationals regarding procedural, case processing issues and case strategy
• Gain a thorough understanding of the areas of practice for the firm and the services provided
• Assess eligibility of corporate foreign national employees for non-immigrant and immigrant visa status
• Support clients in immigration program management and compliance.

What you bring to the firm:

• Be a member in good standing with the Ontario Bar
• Demonstrated knowledge of current Canadian immigration law.
• 7+ years of business immigration experience working on PR, Express Entry, Citizenship and PNP, work permit and temporary residence files.
