Duties

Prepare and cook menu items according to established recipes and presentation standards. Supervise kitchen staff during food preparation and cooking processes to ensure efficiency and quality. Maintain cleanliness and organization of the kitchen area, adhering to food safety regulations. Assist in managing inventory, including ordering supplies and minimizing waste. Collaborate with other kitchen staff to ensure timely service during peak hours. Train new kitchen employees on food handling procedures, cooking techniques, and safety protocols. Monitor food quality throughout the cooking process to ensure consistency and excellence. Participate in menu planning and development by providing input based on customer feedback and seasonal ingredients.

Requirements

Proven experience as an experienced Line Cook or in other kitchen roles within the food industry. Strong knowledge of food preparation techniques, cooking methods, and food safety practices. Previous supervisory or team management experience is preferred. Excellent leadership skills with the ability to motivate and guide kitchen staff effectively. Familiarity with restaurant management principles is a plus. Ability to work efficiently under pressure while maintaining attention to detail. Strong communication skills for effective collaboration with team members. A passion for hospitality and delivering exceptional customer service through quality food preparation.
