Full - Time Permanent with Benefits

Terminal location: Pontypool, ON

Working shift: 6:30AM to 3:30PM (end time may vary ie. dependent upon unforeseen delays, freight and or route coverage)

Working days: Monday to Friday with occasional Saturdays

Overtime will be paid after 45 hours worked. Overtime is based on freight volume, weather, mechanical delays etc.

What you will do:

Drive a 3 ton commercial truck to deliver, pick up freights and perform overflow volume to assigned stops in the Peterborough and Kwartha Lakes nd surrounding areas*
Deliver freights in good condition and within scheduled time

(15-25 deliveries/day and 0-2 pickups)*
Use a handheld device to scan documents and freights

Load and Unload freight in proper sequence with the use of a dolley and or manual hand pump/pump truck*

Lift and or carry freight (hand bomb) up to 50lbs.*
Complete any necessary paperwork accurately Perform all safety checks, including pre-trip and post-trip inspection Report on all safety hazards and accidents Use a cellular phone to communicate with Dispatch, Lead Hand and Manager ie. Truck breakdowns, delivery concerns, answer calls, texts etc.... Provide excellent customer service Build strong client relationships Adhere to safety and compliance regulations Additional duties as required

What we require of you:

High School Diploma Valid G License is a must*
Valid GZ or DZ License is an asset Possess a Clean CVOR and Personal Driver's Abstract Courier or LTL experience is an asset

Minimum 2 year COMMERCIAL TRUCK DELIVERY DRIVING experience*

Lift and carry freight up to 50 lbs. (Hand bomb work)*

Load in proper sequence of delivery with the use of a dolley and or a manual hand /pump truck*

Shift time is from 6:30AM to 3:30PM - Monday to Friday with occasional Saturdays*
