THIS IS A TEMPORARY POSITION WITH THE POSSIBILITY OF PERMANENT

Yard location: Vaughan, ON

Workdays: Monday to Friday

No Weekends

No Statutory Holidays

Shift Start time: 6AM to 8AM and end around 6PM - work a 10 to 12 hour shift

(end time varies depending on traffic delays, mechanical breakdowns, weather conditions and or freight volume)

Overtime will be paid out for any traffic delays, mechanical breakdowns, weather conditions and or freight volume.

What you will do:

Drive a

3 Ton Refrigerated Truc*k to deliver and or pick up freights to assigned stops within GTA and surrounding areas
Deliver freights in good condition and within scheduled time

(30+ deliveries daily)*
Use a handheld device to scan documents and freights

Load and Unload freight in proper sequence with the use of a dolley and or pallet truck (carry or lift up to 70lbs)*
Complete any necessary paperwork accurately Perform all safety checks, including pre-trip and post-trip inspection Report on all safety hazards and accidents Use a cellular phone to communicate with dispatch ie. Truck breakdowns, delivery concerns, answer calls, texts etc.... Provide excellent customer service Build strong client relationships Adhere to safety and compliance regulations Additional duties as required

What you will get:

Hourly paid - $22.60/hr. with annual increases:

What we require of you:

High School Diploma Valid G Driver's Licence Clean CVOR and Personal Driver's Abstract Courier or LTL experience is an asset Minimum 2 year

Commercial Delivery Truck Drivingexperience This shift will be Monday to Friday. 10 to 12 hour workdays with start times from 6AM tot 7AM and end around 6PM. Overtime will be paid.

Capable of doing physical labour with a great degree of strength and stamina - carry or lift up to 70lbs*
Excellent communication and problem solving skills Strong organizational skills Attention to detail and accuracy in paperwork Customer Focus - experience providing quality customer service Adaptable to change Experience working in a fast paced environment Experience working independently and with minimal supervision Ability to work on a team and being a team player Must be comfortable with using onboard or handheld computer devices Must have a safety and compliance mind set
