As part of CAC's
Advisory Board
and a founding member of the
DeepSea Discovery Club
, the Expedition Physician will also contribute to the development of advanced research partnerships, polar health programs, and next-generation expedition medicine and communications initiatives.
Core Responsibilities:
Provide full-spectrum medical care and emergency response for crew, guests, and researchers aboard CAC's Research Explorer fleet.
Lead and maintain expedition medical protocols and onboard clinic operations, ensuring compliance with international maritime health and safety standards.
Coordinate with CAC's command and logistics teams to integrate
telemedicine, remote diagnostics, and advanced communication systems
across polar operations.
Collaborate with scientific and conservation partners on
health, physiology, and environmental impact studies
related to polar exploration and human performance in extreme environments.
Support luxury private charter expeditions with
discreet, concierge-level medical service
for UHNW guests.
Participate in CAC's
Advisory Board and DeepSea Discovery Club
, contributing to interdisciplinary research programs, global outreach, and health-innovation projects within the Blue Economy.
Mentor and support medical training initiatives for crew, expedition staff, and local northern communities where CAC operates.
Qualifications & Experience:
MD, MBBS, or equivalent medical degree, with full licensure and maritime or expeditionary practice eligibility.
Minimum 5 years' experience in
remote, maritime, or polar medicine
, ideally including Arctic and Antarctic deployments.
Certification or experience in
Hyperbaric Medicine, Dive Medicine, or Expedition/Wilderness Medicine
considered a strong asset.
Demonstrated capability in leading emergency response and medical logistics in
isolated, high-risk environments
.
Strong interpersonal and diplomatic skills for working with UHNW clientele, scientists, crew, and media teams.
Passion for
ocean science, conservation, and polar exploration
, with a deep appreciation for CAC's integrated model of luxury, discovery, and research.
