Exhibit Detailer & Autocad Technician

Job Description

We are seeking a detail-oriented and skilled Exhibit Detailer and CAD Technician to join our exhibit design team. This position will work on diverse projects and be responsible for creating detailed technical exhibit specification drawings for production and installation; updating and maintaining the exhibits parts library; assisting with maintaining exhibits parts inventory; producing floorplans and detailing exhibit drawings for tradeshows based on client requirements and specifications. The ideal candidate will have strong proficiency in various CAD software and drafting techniques, with a passion for delivering high-quality work in a collaborative environment. Proficiency in Autodesk Inventor is a must for this position.

Duties:




Create detailed technical drawings for exhibit production:

Create and update detailed line drawings and production drawings listing part counts for warehouse pulling and prepping of equipment of individual exhibit jobs.

Create and update exhibit set-up drawings:

Produce drawings for construction, electrical layouts, elevations, isometric views and booth orientations on show floor for exhibit builds. Update final drawings to internal systems for installation teams.

Maintain and update digital exhibit parts library:

Build, maintain and update Inventor library of exhibit designs by creating line drawings and detailing parts, components and materials for individual booth and structure designs.

Provide support with creative presentations of booth designs/exhibit structures:

Presentations include detailed line drawings, perspectives, and renderings. Attend client meetings to support account managers as required.

Floorplans production and updates:

Create and update floorplans for tradeshows based on existing maximum space layouts and add customer requirements for booth dimensions, booth numbers, and feature areas. Prepare files and versions for various requirements, including Fire Marshall approval, floor marking, show guide, etc. Export CAD drawings to PDF, EPS, JPEG formats for applicable uses. Adhere to facility rules and regulations and generate plans within facility and fire code regulations. Keep up to date with the specifications of major trade show facilities Stronco works in. Other duties as dictated by department needs and requirements.

Qualifications




Proficiency in AutoDesk Inventor is a must. Strong drafting and technical drawing skills with ability to create accurate and detailed blueprints. Proficiency in AutoCAD and proven experience with CAD software. Familiarity and working knowledge of Octanorm and Agam products. 5+ years related experience in exhibit design and trade show industry. Relevant certifications, degrees or training in drafting, mechanical engineering, architecture, or related fields are preferred. Highly organized with ability to multi-task, prioritize and work independently in a high pressure, fast-paced environment. Meticulous attention to detail with ability to produce accurate and comprehensive drawings. Excellent verbal and written communication skills. Commitment to team-oriented success philosophy and ability to collaborate with diverse teams.

The successful candidate will be required to work at our Mississauga office located at 1510-B Caterpillar Rd., Mississauga, Ontario.
