Job Summary

We are seeking a detail-oriented and skilled CAD Technician to join our design team at the fast growing company, Northwest Enclosures. In this role the right candidate will support our lead designer with building design that follows building code & client specification.

Responsibilities

Develop detailed technical drawings and schematics using CAD software such as AutoCAD, and or SolidWorks. Create accurate 2D drafting and 3D modeling for construction projects, such as Electrical Houses, Generator drop over Enclosures. Assist in the preparation of construction documents, plans, and presentations. Review project specifications and ensure drawings adhere to industry standards and client requirements. Collaborate with the client team to modify designs based on feedback or project changes. Maintain organized digital files of drawings and revisions for easy access and version control. Ensure all drawings meet quality standards and are completed within project deadlines. Support Technical Design manager with any needed tasks that works towards drawing handover.

Qualifications

Proven experience with CAD software such as AutoCAD or SolidWorks. Strong drafting skills with a solid understanding of schematics, construction documentation, and technical specifications. Strong background in mechanical design. Familiarity with MS Office such as (Excel, Word, Teams) Experience with working with buildings codes and project specifications. Ability to interpret engineering drawings and schematics accurately. Excellent attention to detail and organizational skills to manage multiple projects efficiently. Strong communication skills to collaborate effectively with team members and clients. Great Spatial visualization Resourceful Great organization skill Ideal to have a basic understanding with sheet metal design Ideal to have a basic understanding with electrical design Ideal to have a basic understanding with building codes such as, CSA, B139, UL 142/ULC s601 Ideal to have a basic understanding in Generator / Electrical House industry.
Job Type: Full-time

Pay: $57,763.00-$74,659.61 per year
