NATURE AND SCOPE OF POSITION
COMPANY DESCRIPTION
Established in 1979, Toro Aluminum has became a leader in the development and manufacturing of window walls and doors for high-rise condominiums, office buildings and hotels, across Canada, the United States, and Mexico.
REPORTING
The AutoCAD Technician reports directly to the CAD Manager at Toro Aluminum.
RESPONSIBILITIES/ ACCOUNTABILITIES
- Produce accurate shop drawings using AutoCAD/REVIT, in compliance with contract documents, project specifications, and company standards.
- Review and implement architectural revisions, ASIs, SKs, and engineer/client comments accurately and in a timely manner.
- Ensure drawings comply with applicable building codes and standards relevant to window wall systems.
- Support the engineering review and stamping process by addressing comments and updating drawings accordingly.
- Participate in Bluebeam sessions and internal reviews as required.
- Assist with as-built drawings and updates based on site conditions.
- Proficiency in AutoCAD/Revit.
- Experience with window wall- 3+ years of experience
- Curtain wall, or facade systems experience considered as asset.
- Strong understanding of shop drawing production and coordination workflows.
- Excellent attention to detail, organization, and time management skills.
- Strong communication skills and ability to work independently and within a team.
