We are seeking a talented and experienced Head Chef to lead our culinary team in a takeout South Indian store. The ideal candidate will possess strong leadership skills, extensive knowledge of food preparation and safety, and a passion for creating innovative dishes. As the Head Chef, you will oversee kitchen operations, cook all cuisines for the day , manage staff, and ensure that all food served meets the highest quality standards.
Duties
Supervise and coordinate kitchen staff to ensure smooth operations and high-quality food service
Develop and implement menus that reflect current food trends while meeting customer preferences
Oversee food preparation, cooking, and presentation to maintain consistency and quality
Ensure compliance with food safety regulations and proper handling of all ingredients
Manage inventory, order supplies, and control food costs to maximize profitability
Train and mentor kitchen staff in cooking techniques, food safety practices, and team management skills
Collaborate with front-of-house staff to ensure seamless service during peak hours
Maintain cleanliness and organization of the kitchen environment
Experience
Proven experience as a Head Chef or in a similar role within the food industry
Strong background in restaurant management with a focus on team leadership and development
Extensive knowledge of food preparation techniques, cooking methods, and menu planning
Familiarity with food safety regulations and best practices for handling ingredients
Previous experience in hospitality settings is highly desirable
Excellent communication skills with the ability to inspire and motivate a diverse team
