Position Summary:
The Executive Director is the chief administrative officer of the Barrie Soccer Club, responsible for the overall leadership, strategic direction, and operational management of the organization. Reporting to and working in collaboration with the Board of Directors, the Executive Director will drive the Club's mission and vision while overseeing all day-to-day operations, staff, financial sustainability, soccer development programs, and community relationships.
Key Responsibilities:
Provide strategic leadership in line with the club's mission, goals, and values.
Oversee the effective management of all soccer programming (recreational, competitive, and development).
Ensure compliance with Ontario Soccer and Canada Soccer policies, standards, and best practices.
Lead and support staff, coaches, and volunteers with a focus on excellence and accountability.
Develop and manage the club's budget, ensuring financial stability and transparency.
Foster relationships with stakeholders including parents, players, community partners, sponsors, and governing bodies.
Promote the club's image and brand within the local community and soccer community at large.
Support the Board of Directors by preparing reports, updates, and recommendations for strategic initiatives.
Qualifications & Experience:
Proven experience in a senior leadership role within a non-profit, sport, or community-based organization.
Knowledge of the soccer landscape in Ontario; experience with Ontario Soccer is an asset.
Strong leadership, communication, and interpersonal skills.
Demonstrated ability to manage budgets, staff, and strategic plans.
Experience in stakeholder engagement, sponsorship development, and public relations.
Ability to work flexible hours including evenings and weekends, as needed.
A post-secondary degree or diploma in sport management, business administration, or a related field is preferred.
Passion for sport, community, and youth development.
