In this role, you will have the opportunity to support executive, project and legal functions to build capacity for our organization while working directly with the company leadership.We are looking for someone who is well-rounded, adaptable, organized, driven and willing to jump into a variety of projects with a solution-oriented focus. You've got this Your support is seamless and compliments executive workflow You take initiative and seek clarity You can jump into any new project or workflow and add value It's easy to recognize you know what you are doing and you are good at it!What we can offer you: A passionate team with entrepreneurial spirit and strong work ethic A high growth and high engagement work environment Day to day work that both challenges and inspires A positive and supportive team Opportunity for growth and impact Training for elements of the position which are newWhat you'll be responsible for: Executive Administration Preparation and/or proofreading correspondences, meeting agendas, minutes, etc. Efficiently managing executive team's calendars as well as providing reminders, itineraries, and relevant materials Assistance with research Writing and formatting of reports, preparation of presentations, slide decks, etc. Screening of phone calls and emails Organizing, filing and assisting with business workflow Bookkeeping, invoicing and reconciliation Day to day HR management Some office management functions PA assistance duties, as they ariseSpecial Projects Taking on special projects as may arise from time to time Grant, financing, license and other applications Ensuring project functions are carried out in accordance with timelinesLegal Preparing documents for Alberta entities Handling HR and other legal matters Drafting and revising documentation Working with various closings including financing, asset purchase and share purchase Creation of minute books Ability to draft and negotiate certain documents Drafting correspondence Preparing incorporations, organizations, amendments, amalgamations and dissolution Preparing and filing registrations Annual returns Preparing resolutions, subscriptions, issuances of share certificates and updates to registers Closures and openings Conducting minute book reviews and preparing necessary documents to bring minute books up to date.Qualifications: Diploma in paralegal studies or equivalent combined with a minimum of 3 years of experience in a paralegal role Solid knowledge of corporate law and procedures and comprehensive knowledge of preparing and drafting a variety of corporate documents Experience with project coordination and scheduling Intermediate experience using MS Office, highly competent with Outlook features and SharePoint Research and analytical skills Ability to balance competing priorities continuously improving time management Engaging personality and optimistic attitude Refined communication skills and understanding of the feedback loop Flexibility to work outside of normal working hours, as requiredThis is a full-time permanent, in-office opportunity with competitive compensation, health benefits and paid time off.Job Type: Full-timeSchedule:
