About the Role As the Executive Assistant to the CEO of SNDL, you will directly contribute to the growth and success of our business. Our ideal candidate will be a business partner to the executive and be proactive, extremely organized, and can problem solve on the fly while under pressure with minimal direction. They utilize a high degree of discretion and have experience working with highly confidential and sensitive information. An independent and critical thinker with excellent verbal and written communication skills, impeccable attention to detail, and an above average work ethic. They are prepared to be challenged and have the proven ability to work effectively with innovative minds in a fast-paced and dynamic corporate environment. The team player will be well-versed in anticipating the needs of company leaders and confident in their ability to maintain superior organization when faced with a large volume of work. The successful candidate will have knowledge in the Finance and Capital Market industries and be hungry to learn more. They will be invested in learning the business and eager to partner with the CEO on his innovative endeavours. Thereby enabling the CEO to make the most of his time, and act as a liaison between the CEO and various stakeholders. They will have a genuine understanding of the importance of their role and how their success directly impacts the success of the CEO and SNDL. This position can be based in Toronto, ON, Edmonton, AB or Calgary, AB. Role and responsibilities include, but are not limited to:

  • Provide sophisticated calendar management for the CEO. Prioritize inquiries and requests while troubleshooting conflicts; make judgments and recommendations to ensure smooth day-to-day engagements.
  • Complete a broad variety of administrative tasks that facilitate the CEO\xe2\x80\x99s ability to effectively lead the organization, including: assisting with special projects; designing and producing complex documents, reports, and presentations; collecting and preparing information for meeting with internal and external stakeholders; composing and preparing correspondence; maintaining contact lists; managing complex travel itineraries; completing expense reports; and other administrative tasks as assigned. Manage all requests and queries appropriately with professionalism, accuracy, and a keen sense of urgency.
  • Serve as a point of contact on all matters pertaining to the CEO, including those of a highly confidential and critical nature. Prioritize and determine appropriate course of action, referral, or response, exercising judgment to reflect the CEO\xe2\x80\x99s style.
  • Work closely with the CEO to keep him well informed of upcoming commitments and responsibilities, following up appropriately. Function as a \xe2\x80\x9cbarometer\xe2\x80\x9d, having a sense for the issues taking place in the environment and keep the CEO updated as necessary. Anticipate the CEO\xe2\x80\x99s needs in advance of meetings, conferences, etc.
  • Provide a bridge for smooth communication between the CEO and employees, demonstrating leadership to maintain credibility, trust, and support. Coordinate executive communications, including taking calls, routing correspondence, responding to emails, interfacing with internal and external stakeholders.
  • Provide event management support for events including but not limited to leadership meetings and conferences.
Experience and Qualifications
  • Post-secondary completion of two-year program for administrative assistant, office assistant, business management or other professional degree and/or program is required.
  • Minimum of 5 years of experience as an Executive Assistant reporting directly to C-level Executives.
  • Advanced Microsoft Office skills, especially Excel, Outlook, and PowerPoint, with an ability to become familiar with company-specific programs and software.
  • Proven knowledge of the Finance and Capital Market industries.
  • Full comprehension of office management systems and procedures.
  • Proficiency in collaboration and delegation of duties.
  • Must be able to pass a criminal background check.
  • Valid driver\'s license and reliable vehicle preferred.
