We are seeking a collaborative, innovative, and self-directed administrative professional to fill the role of Executive Assistant. Reporting to the Executive Director, the Executive Assistant will provide important administrative support to members of the Senior Leadership. The Executive Assistant will also provide support to the Board of Directors and Committees of the Board at the direction of the Executive Director. The Executive Assistant coordinates the Senior Leadership Team's activities and interacts with a wide range of internal and external stakeholders. In this function the Executive Assistant acts as a bridge to ensure communication, tasks, initiatives, and commitments undertaken by the Executive Director and the rest of the Senior Leadership Team are managed.


Located in Saskatoon, Elmwood Residences Inc. is a Community-Based Organization (CBO)


which provides support and services to over 120 individuals with intellectual disabilities. Elmwood operates eleven Community Homes, Kinsmen Manor, and Saskatoon's largest Supported Independent Living Program.


Position Overview:




This is a full-time, permanent position operating primarily between 9:00 am and 5:00 pm Monday to Friday, however some evening and weekend work may be required and is rewarded by utilization of flextime. Responsible for providing confidential administrative support to the SLT to ensure the efficient day-to-day flow of information through collaboration and collegial teamwork. Schedule meetings for Board and SLT, including oversight and administration of Boardable applications and the organization of the AGM. Utilize current software applications and technology for preparation of reports, presentations, correspondence, projects, qualitative and quantitative data. General office management, including ordering office supplies and equipment, furniture, and business cards, etc. Collaborate and partner with a wide variety of governmental, community and family stakeholders, to balance the needs and interests of diverse groups while maintaining alignment with strategic priorities and maintaining the confidentiality of sensitive information. As Elmwood Residences continues to grow and evolve, duties are subject to change.

Proven ability to maintain confidentiality including handling confidential information with discretion. Ability to adapt to frequent change and work under pressure. Superior interpersonal, communication, and conflict resolution skills.

Requirements:




Minimum of a 2-year Diploma in Business Administration (or equivalent) Minimum of 5 years' experience working in an administrative support role CPIC with vulnerable sector clearance Class 5 Drivers License Experience in disability support or health-care sectors would be considered an asset. Excellent computer and technical skills, with a good working knowledge of various software, including but not limited to: Microsoft Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Exchange, Teams, Zoom, Intranet/Internet, and the capability to learn new software and technology as required.
