Marshalling the efforts of legions of volunteers and utilizing the support of corporate, community and construction partners, we build then sell homes to local families for a $0-down, 0%-interest, 20-year, Habitat-held mortgage giving our partner families a transformational opportunity to build both equity and financial security for their futures.

SCOPE OF WORK



Reporting to the Chief Executive Officer, and secondary to the Manager of Handyman Services this is a full-time position requiring forty (40) hours of work/ week. The incumbent to this position will be responsible for maintaining all of the affiliate's records inclusive of Handyman program including lawncare and snow removal programs.

1. Perform standard administrative duties, including proofreading/editing, composing, preparing, and distributing routine correspondence and reports, both corporate and personal

Simple Accounting experience and/or Sage experience

2. Upkeep filing systems and vendor information where required (through online CRM).
3. Schedule appointments and travel arrangements, and answer and field phone calls, emails, and voicemails.
4. Liaise with various teammates on a daily basis regarding projects on hand.

5. Assist with new business (coordinating PowerPoint presentations, assisting with follow up, etc.)

6. Attend and participate in team/association meetings and prepare and distribute minutes in a timely manner.

7. Develop and update administrative procedures for more efficiency.

8. Maintain a professional working environment and attitude.

EDUCATION & EXPERIENCE



The incumbent to this position will have 3-5 years' experience working in a business setting principally with ancillary administrative responsibilities. Ideally the incumbent will hold a diploma or an associate degree in accounting, finance, business administration, office administration or the equivalent and will have a solid knowledge of modern accounting theory, principles and practices inclusive volunteer tracking, reporting and budget preparation. This position requires an analytical problem-solver with superior numeracy skills, super-user experience using all aspects of Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Access) and standard internet-based interfaces. Simple Accounting experience will be considered highly. The successful candidate will be a self-driven, exceptional communicator who has an acute eye for detail and thrives as both a self-starter and a team player in a busy, dynamic and demanding environment. A valid driving licence and (access to) a vehicle will be important. A condition of hire will include the provision of an incident-free Police Check.
