Job Summary

We are seeking a skilled and reliable Excavator Operator to join our construction team. The ideal candidate will be responsible for operating heavy equipment such as excavators, compact track loaders, tampers, mulches, hammers, etc to support various construction projects. This role requires mechanical knowledge, safety awareness, and the ability to work efficiently in a dynamic environment. The Excavator Operator will play a vital part in ensuring project completion with precision and safety.

Responsibilities

Operate excavators and other heavy equipment to perform excavation, grading, and site preparation tasks. Conduct routine inspections and maintenance of equipment to ensure optimal performance. Assist with other specialized construction activities as needed. Follow safety protocols and guidelines to maintain a safe work environment. Collaborate with project managers and team members to meet project deadlines and specifications. Maintain accurate documentation of work performed and equipment usage. Support other construction activities requiring heavy equipment operation or mechanical knowledge.

Skills

Proven experience operating excavators and other heavy machinery. Mechanical knowledge related to heavy equipment maintenance and troubleshooting. Familiarity with Caterpillar equipment and attachments is preferred. Ability to operate commercial vehicles if required for transporting equipment or materials. Strong understanding of safety procedures related to heavy equipment operation on construction sites. Excellent communication skills and ability to work as part of a team. must have own transportation and be willing to get out of machine to perform tasks.
Job Type: Full-time

Pay: $25.00-$30.00 per hour

Expected hours: 35 - 50 per week
